Wicker Patio Furniture

Resin wicker patio furniture and how it holds up

Resin wicker patio furniture is woven from synthetic strands, so it is made for outdoor use in a way natural rattan is not. It resists moisture and fading better than natural fibers, and the frame beneath it carries the weight.

Frames on this page include aluminum, steel, iron and solid acacia wood. Aluminum resists rust, and steel and iron frames need a protective coating.

Wicker patio furniture sets and seating types

Wicker patio furniture sets here include conversation sets, dining sets, sectionals, bistro sets and bar sets, and seating runs from 2 to 8 people.

You will also find single pieces such as chairs, loveseats, sofas, chaise lounges, gliders, swivel chairs, rocking chairs and daybeds.

Choose a set when you want matching pieces and a table, and single chairs when you are filling in an existing patio.

Brown wicker patio furniture and other colors

Brown wicker patio furniture is the most common color here, followed by gray, beige and natural. Smaller numbers come in blue, yellow, white or black.

Brown and gray hide dust and light marks well, while lighter colors give a brighter look and need cleaning a little more often. Pick a color that suits your cushions and surroundings, since neutral wicker pairs with nearly any cushion color.

Outdoor wicker patio furniture cushions and glass tops

Outdoor wicker patio furniture can pair woven seating with cushions, and some sets include them. Some designs add ottomans, canopies, wheels or an adjustable backrest.

Some sets include a glass tabletop. Store cushions indoors or in a deck box during rain and winter.

Plastic wicker patio furniture care

Plastic wicker patio furniture is easy to maintain. Wipe it with mild soap and water, use a soft brush in the weave, and rinse and dry it afterward.

Keep it away from harsh scrubbers and strong solvents, and use a fitted cover in the off-season to protect the weave and the cushions.
